Jym was such a kind man, and patient. He was very nice to me when I asked beginner-type questions about percussion. I had no idea he was 80 - he seemed much younger.

DR. Moore took me under his wing as a percussion student from my high school years beginning in 1971 thru college graduation from OSU in 1977. I traveled with him and other students to the International Music Camp in North Dakota for two summers and also attended the summer percussion-marimba camps on South Bass Island (Put-In-Bay) Ohio. I will miss him very much and could never thank him enough for the life and music lessons he taught me over the years. May God bless you Dr. Moore and continue to bless your family.

Dear Cheryl, Logan and Kendall, I was so sorry to hear of your Dad and Grandfather's passing. The first time I met him was when the Kappa Deltas came to Cheryl's home in college for a sleepover, he was so nice to us and loved showing us his sheepdog. Through the years I enjoyed seeing him at skull sessions and concerts, I especially enjoyed seeing him occasionally when he would come to pick up Logan and Kendall at Merry Moppet, he was so kind to the teachers and he always had a smile on his face. We were in the stadium the day the OSU Marching band spelled out his name "Moore" to honor him when he retired. I cried because I knew how much he would be missed at OSU, and how much his career had meant to him. I will try to make calling hours Friday evening, my heart breaks for you in this time of grief. With Love, Laura Anthony <3
