Jarvis B. Woodson Ii Obituary
Woodson, II, Jarvis B.
1934 - 2017
Jarvis "Woody" B. Woodson, II, age 82, of Powell, died at home 11/14/2017. Veteran, U.S. Navy, Korean War. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Elsie, both his parents and six siblings and their spouses. Survived by sons, Jarvis B. Woodson, III (Jennifer), Ronald Sean Woodson and Gordon Byron Woodson; grandchildren, Jarvis Brandon Woodson, IV (Erin), Brittney Kathleen Woodson and Courtney Brooke Woodson; twin sister, Elizabeth Bell; niece, Tracy Taylor (Tom); nephew, Rick Crum; and several other nieces and nephews. Graduate of Inglewood H.S. CA., Franklin University, Cols., OH. He was President/Owner Standard Forms Co. since 1990, previously National Sales Manager with National Fiberstock (Keystone Envelope) Corporation, Field Sales Supervisor with 3M Company and Regional Sales Manager with Fountain Industries International. He enjoyed his relationships with clients at Keystone and Standard Forms for over 40 years. Woody was completely devoted to his family, adored his wife Elsie, the love of his life for 54 years before her death in 2008, and loved his time with his sons and grandchildren. He had so many friends and golf buddies. He loved a day on the course at Millcreek Golf Club as much for the friendships as for the golf. Dad had a special sense of humor, was a people person, put everyone at ease and always put others first. He would always say, "Let's Visit" he truly wanted to know your story and remembered them all. He wanted us to tell his friends how much he enjoyed and loved spending time with them. Funeral service will be held at 10 am Saturday, November 18, 2017 at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 West Olentangy Street, Powell, where friends may call from 4-7 pm Friday, November 17, 2017. Entombment: Resurrection Cemetery. Contributions may be made to: in his name for which he had a special place in his heart, or Pelatonia rider Phil MacLean, a good friend of the family. The family would like to thank The James Cancer Hospital and a special thank you to nurse Mary from Vitas Hospice Care and Ty from Senior Options.
