Jenny Farley Obituary
Farley, Jenny
1960 - 2017
Jenny Lynn Farley, age 57, of Columbus, Ohio, died November 3, 2017, following a fatal car accident in Zanesville, Ohio, on their way to a Tae Kwon Do tournament in Pittsburgh, PA. On February 15, 1960, she was born in Middletown, OH, the daughter of Lloyd Raymond Brown and the late Sharon Brown. On August 12, 1977, she married Gary Farley at the Free Will Baptist Church in Reynoldsburg, OH. Together they shared 40 years of marriage. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Brandi Suttle and Nicole Farley; her son-in-law, Jeff Suttle; her 12 grandchildren, Ciara, Chase, Justina, Gabbi, Nathanyel, Destiny, Zachary, Autumn, Deandre, Liam, Ethan, and Austin; her sisters, Michelle Trujillo and Tammy Farley; her brother-in-law, Alex Trujillo; their children/grandchildren, Ricky, Anthony, Josh, Tanya, Corey, Kaylie, Dominick, Mycah, Joey, Taylor, Eva, Freddy, Kenzie, Elise, Edison, and Ezekiel; her sister-in-law, Teresa Dillard, her husband, John Dillard, and their three sons, John Jr., Josh, and Jordan, and their children, Reese, Cadance, Emery, Jaxon, and Violet. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as her lifelong best friend, Tara Helsel-Millican. She was preceded in death by her mother Sharon Brown, her aunt Joyce Ryan, and her brother-in-law Rick Farley. Jenny worked as a clinical supervisor at Abraxas. Before that, she worked as a social worker all around the central Ohio area for nearly 20 years. Across the course of her career, her compassion and empathy touched the lives and hearts of a vast number of her patients, their families, and her co-workers. Jenny also used to work with her mother, Sharon, at Eastland Care Center, so many would say that they were inseparable. Outside of work, she took care of her granddaughter Justina and their close family friend, Meghan McDonald, and they were all very active at ATA Black Belt Academy both in Pickerington and in Grove City, who were like a second family to them. They loved to travel to Tae Kwon Do competitions across the United States, sometimes going as far as Little Rock, AK for the ATA World Championship. She also loved to travel, especially to Mexico with her mom and granddaughter, to spend time with her children and grandchildren, and to take care of her horse, Sierra. Everyone will remember Jenny as one who could strike the balance between being tough and/or compassionate, depending on what the situation required. For that reason, she was a rock for so many people in her life, and she never begrudged anyone for it. Her fun-loving, adventurous, and resilient soul will be missed fiercely by all those that knew her. The memorial service for Jenny Farley will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 6:00 PM at Wagram Freewill Baptist Church, at 272 Blueview Dr. in Etna, Ohio, 43068. Afterwards, a reception will be held at Rev Café at 7679 E. Main St. in Reynoldsburg, OH, 43068. Family, friends, and former colleagues are all invited to join together to celebrate and remember Jenny's life. Please visit www.OhioCremation.org to leave the family an online condolence.
