Obituary Condolences

Walker John "Jack" Henry Walker, 88, long time resident of Blacklick, passed away June 17, 2013 at Mt. Carmel East. He was a technical writer for Rockwell International, a graduate of Capital University, an Army Air Corp veteran serving in WWII, and a veteran of the Ohio Air Guard serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Reynoldsburg VFW, Eagles, and AMVETS. He loved gardening and volunteered at the Franklin Park Conservatory and for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources at Buckeye Lake. Survived by wife, Barbara; children, Richard (Robin) McCollister, Benjamin McCollister, Peggy Howard, Gretchen (Ron) Adkins, Jacki Copper and John "Jack" II; 14 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Preceeded in death by parents Homer and Alice, stepmother Garnet, and brother Robert. Memorial service 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 28 at the COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg OH 43068, where the family will receive friends from noon until time of service. Graveside service will follow at the Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
