Sullivan John Lawrence Sullivan, age 88, passed away January 4, 2014, at Ohio Veterans Home, Georgetown, Ohio. John was born December 25, 1925. Preceded in death by father Patrick Sullivan and mother Catherine O'Neill, brothers James (Janice) and Thomas (Carole) Sullivan, sisters Mary Catherine (James) Tippett, Hannah (William) Schufelt, daughter-in-law Tammy Sullivan, grandson Phillip Todd Sullivan. Survived by wife, Dorothy Jean; sons, John (Susie), Timothy (Deborah), David (Karen), Jerald, Terrence, Daniel (Karen) and daughter, Diane (Jeff) Skinner; nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Graduate from St. Thomas Aquinas High School 1943; WWII Navy Veteran aboard USS Saratoga, Iwo Jima. He was owner of Former Sullivan's Barber Shop Hubbard and High Streets. Retired from Franklin County Board of Elections. Friends may call Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. at the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 4476 N. High Street, (two blocks north of Henderson Road), Columbus, OH. Funeral mass will be held Friday, January 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Resurrection Cemetery Chapel, 9571 N. High Street, Lewis Center, OH. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immaculate Conception School Tuition Fund or Bishop Watterson School Tuition Fund.
