Crisp John Logan Crisp, slipped peacefully away June 15, 2013 with his loving wife of nearly 71 years, Charlotte (Woods) Crisp and his daughters, Joni (Joe) Hoffman and Cassandra (Warren) Maull at his side. His grandchildren, Peter and Amy Cunningham, Jessica (Dan) Nicholas and David (Jessica Walker) Maull; as well as his great-granddaughter, Delilah Nicholas were with him in spirit. Born in Illinois in 1917, John joined the Navy, traveling the world as a young man. He worked as a systems analyst for the federal government. In his free time, he took to the air as a pilot and the water as a scuba diver; remodeled houses; cared for his grandchildren; and enjoyed gardening. He and Charlotte met dancing, and didn't stop for the next sixty years, traveling coast to coast. John lived his life guided by three simple truths: love one and other; look on the bright side; and leave a place better than you find it, which he did.
