Carvin Joseph F. Carvin, of Columbus, age 99, died September 2, 2014 at St. Ann's. A veteran of WWII, U.S. Army Medical Corp. Preceded in death by wife Mildred Alice Carvin, parents Raymon Frank Carvin and Emma Hatton Carvin, brothers James Henry Carvin, Kenneth Eugene Carvin and Maurice Dale Carvin, sisters Virgina L. Hall, Leora Mae Fires and Margaret Jane Borchelt. Survived by his brother, Gerald Edward Carvin. Retired after 34 years as Service Manager of Healthco Dental Supply Co. Member of The Sons of the American Revolution, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, First Families of Ohio, Alden Kindred of America, American Legion Post #443, York Lodge #563, AF&M York Chapter #155, York Council #115, Columbus Commandery #69, Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, and Indiana Pioneers. Was an usher at Maple Grove United Methodist Church for over 30 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maple Grove Church or a charity of ones choosing. Friends may call on Thursday, September 4 from 4-6 p.m. with a Masonic service to be held at 6 p.m. at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington. Service will be held Friday, September 5, at 10 a.m. at Maple Grove United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Forrest Lawn Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to
