DURFEE Katherine M. Durfee "Kat", 64, of Galloway, died peacefully at her home on Monday, December 10, 2012 surrounded by family and friends. She was born September 18, 1948 in Stanville, Kentucky, to the late Becham and Mindy (Moore) Goble. She was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law T.C. Nicholas, two brothers and two sisters. Kat and her husband Larry just celebrated their 28th Wedding Anniversary. Together they enjoyed traveling and going out to dinner with friends. She lived her life with passion and immense love for everyone. Family was everything to her. She never met a stranger. Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, Robert (Johanna) Nicholas of Norwalk, Dwayne Nicholas of West Jefferson, Shane Nicholas of Urbana and Tim (Niza) Durfee of Fort Pierce, Florida; daughter, Sue (Doug) Johnson of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; five brothers, Carl (Bobbie) Goble of Norwalk, Kinney (Geraldine) Goble of Jerusalem, Doug (Mary) Goble of Vinemont, Alabama; Art Goble of Vinemont, Alabama, Jim (Sue) Goble of Marion; and two sisters, Clora (Ted) Troesch of Richwood and Helene (Lawrence) Lawhun of Falmouth, Kentucky. Kat has asked that family and friends join Larry at their home to celebrate her life on Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 3-7 p.m. and Sunday, December 23, 2012 from 3-7 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 614-875-6333.
