ULLOM Kenneth L. Ullom, 83, of Westerville, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Retired OWE teacher and athletic director at Big Walnut High School and retired principal, teacher and athletic director at Scioto Valley High School. Graduate of Westerville High School. 1959 graduate from Otterbein College. Elder and usher at Central College Presbyterian Church. Member of Sigma Delta Phi "Sphinx" Fraternity and Otterbein "O" Club, Westerville Leather Helmet Club, Ye Ole Buzzards' Club, American Legion Young-Budd Post #171. Past president of Westerville Kiwanis Club and active with Key Club. Served as a volunteer at St. Ann's Hospital for 15 years. U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Preceded in death by wife of 30 years Twila Jean, parents Charles Edward and Verna Ullom, sisters Lucy Zinn and Anna Jane Waldron, brothers Karl, Harrison and Charles Ullom and three infant brothers. Survived by wife of 21 years, Phyllis Jean; his children, Penny (Paul) Woehle of Westerville, Sandy (Jeff) Young of Galena, Thomas C. (Kathy) of Westerville; step-children, Diane (Randy) Bolt of Texas, Greg (Mari), Dana, David, and Kevin Derouaux all of Ohio; grandchildren, Todd, Andrew, Scott, Jesse, Stephanie, Hannah and Eric; step-grandchildren, Derek, Ryan, Jason, Andrea, Melissa (Keith) and Mindy (George); great grandchildren, Madison and Asher; step great- grandchildren, Nathan, Malina and Isabella; sisters, Wilma Jean Fuller of Hilliard and Jo Kaiser of Westerville; brothers, Harold "Elmer" (Glennie) Ullom of Croton, Ohio; special niece, Marilyn (Jack) Wilson; numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Central College Presbyterian Church Chapel, 975 South Sunbury Road Westerville, Ohio. Rev. David Redding officiating. Private Interment. Arrangements by the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, Westerville, Ohio. Devoted father and husband that never knew a stranger.
