1948 - 2018
Linda K. Coe, 69, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 27, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio to Norman and Edna (Schumacher) Coe. Linda graduated from Boise High school in 1966 and went on to graduate Boise State University in 1970. She continued on to The Ohio State University where she earned her Master's Degree in Education in 1975. She taught in elementary education for 2 years in Boise and 31 years at Washington Township School in Logan Elm School District. Linda was a member of the Pickaway County Chapter of the Ohio Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Columbus where she served as a Deacon and member of the Child Care Board. She also started an herb garden at the church and had a passion for gardening. Linda participated in mission trips to Alaska, West Virginia and Maryland. She volunteered at the Ohio Theatre, worked as an EMT, was a member of the Central Ohio Hiking Club, assisted in Relay for Life Pickaway County and spent countless hours at Genesis Nursing Home where her mother resides. Linda loved to travel and spend time with her family. She also loved her cabin in the country. Linda wanted to express her gratitude to her family, friends and former students for their love and support. Linda was preceded in death by her father Norman Coe. She is survived by her mother, Edna Coe; sister, Patricia (Larry) Isch; nieces, Susan (Todd) Falkenberg and Kristen (Eric) Crnkovich; nephew, Jason Isch; great-niece, Emma Grace Falkenberg; and many dear family members. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2015 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home with visitation from 2-3 pm. Burial at Glen Rest Memorial Estates at a later date.
