Lisa Marie Eubanks-Heilman Obituary
Eubanks-Heilman Lisa Marie Eubanks-Heilman departed this world on May 29, 2017 after a valiant fight against cancer that she took to the very end. Lisa was born on December 29, 1966 to Edmen and Sherrill Eubanks of Reynoldsburg, OH. She attended Reynoldsburg Schools and graduated in 1985. She earned a Bachelor degree in Finance from Franklin University, also a Bachelor degree and Master's in Business from OSU. She worked as a financial analyst at Tween Brands and McDonalds Corporation for a number of years before opening her own catering business called "Distinctive Design and Service". Her life took a dramatic turn when she reconnected with the Love of her Life, The Bee Man. He was the man she was meant to be with, her soul mate, Dave Heilman. The man she had dated so many years before, but had never forgotten. They were married 2 1/2 years ago and bloomed ever since. Lisa loved her family and her Mother was her best friend. They maintained a bond that was so incredibly close. They could often be talking clothes/shoes and decorating. Lisa left us too soon and with the difficult task of keeping her life story from filling up numerous pages because of her bright personality, positive outlook and life time of good works. She brought love, joy, laughter, and support to all she met, friend or stranger. The fact is Lisa had the blessed nature of never meeting a stranger. During her last days she received a continuous flow of visits from her friends both old and new. She always seemed surprised though that people would take time out of their day to stop by and reminisce. If you knew Lisa you would have expected nothing less. Strangely she never felt as though she was anything special. The outpouring of love from them was a tribute to how she lived her life. She left her mark everywhere she went, whether buying a dinner for a veteran or giving them a $50 gift card, bringing someone some homemade chocolate covered strawberries/famous sugar cookies, or even bringing laughter to the chemo floor in order to take people's mind off all of the tragedy around them. She was a lighthouse in the storm of life for many. Lisa was preceded in death by her father Edmen Eubanks and her sister Kari Cook. She is survived by the love of her life, David Heilman; mother, Sherrill Eubanks; brothers, Bill Eubanks and Jon Eubanks and his new wife, Yolanda; nephews, Josh Cook and Christian Eubanks; her dog, Winston and cat, Job. Lisa's viewing will be this Friday June 2 in Reynoldsburg, OH which is a suburb on the eastside of Columbus at the SCHOEDINGER EAST FUNERAL HOME at 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232. It will take place from 2-4 and from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Wesley Ridge Retirement Community Chapel, 2225 Taylor Park, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068, on Saturday, June 3, at 10 a.m. After the service, friends and family are invited to the graveside at Silent Home Cemetery, 1576 Lancaster Ave., Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. These places are only about maybe 2 miles apart. Then a memorial service for Lisa will be held in Wooster, on Monday, June 5, at the Wooster Nazarene Church. This service will start at 6 p.m., for an hour of fellowship time. The actual service will begin at 7 p.m.
