Louis "Jack" Swain, age 86, of Canal Winchester, OH, passed away March 17, 2018. He was born July 13, 1931 in Gallipolis, OH to the late Webster and Garnet Swain. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Retired from Buckeye Steel Castings after 37 years of service. Louis was a member of the Franklin County Coon Hunters Association and the VFW Post #10523. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia Swain, four brothers Webster "Jr." Swain, Bob Swain, Bill Swain and John Swain and two sisters Naomi Ringgold and Patty Wilcox. He is survived by his son, Greg Swain; granddaughter, Kelsey Swain; sister, Peggy Cahill; beloved coon hound, Gunner; and many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed spending time with his son, granddaughter, watching the Reds and hunting with Bub, Milt, Jack and Hillbilly. Family and friends may visit 4-7 pm on Thursday, March 22, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH 43110. A funeral service officiated by Pastor David Cady will begin at 10 am on Friday, March 23, at the funeral home followed by interment at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens. The family would like to give thanks to NaVena Foor and Jean Tome for their exceptional care provided. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the , 5455 N.
