Marvalee Ann Knox, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at her home in Westerville, OH. She was born in Beloit, KS on October 18, 1923 to the late William and Louise Murphy. She is preceded in death by her siblings Grace Brennan, Alice Sarver, and Dennis Murphy. She is survived by her son, Rockne Peck (Dorene Johnson); daughter, Patti (Joseph) Hauser; grandchildren, Teresa Peck, Ronda Hermans, Joseph K. Hauser, Jennifer (Michael) Sheets; and great grandchildren, Erica and Erin Svisdahl, Ashley (Dustin) Ashbrook; Joseph Christopher and Joshua Kenneth Hauser, Jack Ryan Johnson, and Kenna Rochell Hauser. She had a life of both adventure and strife but overcame the obstacles she faced through her faith in God and the church which made her a stronger caring and loving person .She was always proudest of being a military wife, traveling to other countries and learning their ways and customs. After completing school, she worked as a dental hygienist for many years. She loved to read, do crossword puzzles and was an avid football fan. She was a loving mother and grandmother to her family and beyond. Many knew her as "Gradma Knox" and thought of her as their own. She will always be remembered for her patience, kindness and love. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2017 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, N. E., 3047 East Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus Ohio 43231, where the memorial service will be held following at 6 p.m. Pastor Doug Nault officiating.
