Mary Ann (Radich) Chapman Obituary
Chapman Mary Ann Chapman (nee Radich), age 78, a lifelong resident of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2014. She was born May 4, 1935 to the late Andrew and Gladys (Fuller) Radich and attended St. Mary of the Springs. Mary Ann married Charles R. Chapman Jr. on September 25, 1950. She was the founder of the Bishop Ready Silver Steppers, where she impacted the lives of many young ladies from 1971-1982. She enjoyed shopping, was an avid reader and proudly earned an associate's degree from Columbus State at the age of 55. Mary Ann will be remembered most as a loving mom and grandma, and was affectionately known as "Granny Mac"! In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by children Timmy, Terri, Sherri, Rick, Don and most recently, Jack, grandchildren Mary Beth and Tyler, great-grandchildren Caroline and Carter, brother John and sister Gladys Marie. She is survived by children, Charles III (Edie), Steve (Cathy), Cindy (Steve) Kovalcik, Mary Lu (Ron) May and Suzi Elzey (John Percuoco); daughter-in-law, Robin; grandchildren, John, Becky, Jeannie, Andy, Jeremy, Christy, Jason, Heather, Angie, Adam, Jacob, Chris, Amanda and Michael; great-grandchildren, Chase, Mackenzie, Colin, Ava, Harper, Caleb, Kylie, Cadie, Payton, Devin, Dominic, Ayden, Charleigh and Brayden; her sister in law, Margaret Radich; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends. Family will welcome friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. (7:30 p.m. prayer service) Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43204. Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the lives of Mary Ann and Jack Chapman will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 584 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH with interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery; Fr. Stash Daily and Fr. Leo Connolly will concelebrate the Mass.
