Mary Van Keuren Taylor Obituary
Taylor Mary Van Keuren Taylor, died Sunday, April 23, 2017. She was born in Middletown, NY to Dewey and Ethel (Chardavoyne) Van Keuren. Mary was a Goucher College graduate. A compassionate, loving and giving daughter, wife, mother, daughter-in-law, sister, friend and a retired librarian from the Bexley Public Library. She is survived by her husband, Rainey S. Taylor, Jr. of Kendal in Granville, OH; three daughters, Anne Caldwell Taylor of Somerset, NJ (also a Goucher College graduate), Mary Ten Eyck Taylor of Bexley, OH and Susan Jordan Taylor of Rumford, RI; sister, Marjorie V.K. Winter (John) of Wichita, KS; sister-in-law, Mary Taylor Sherpick (Bill) of Needham, MA; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces/nephews and dear friends. At her and Rainey's request, there will be no funeral service, only a family gathering at the interment in the family plot in Hillside Cemetery, in Middletown, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to Goucher College, Alumnae Affairs, c/o 1021 Dulaney Valley Road, Baltimore, MD 21204-2794 or to the Rainey S. Taylor, Jr. History Chair at The Columbus Academy, 4300 Cherrybottom Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230. The family thanks all the wonderful caregivers and staff at Kendal, from Home Instead in Granville, OH and Hospice of Central Ohio's nurses, pastor and staff for their extraordinary care and dedication.
