Michael A. Jarvis, 60, of Cardington, Ohio, was delivered into the hands of the Lord and to his loving parents and siblings on Friday, September 22, 2017. He was predeceased by his parents Edward H. Jarvis Jr. and Lucy G. Jarvis (Lavigne), by his brothers Peter, Robert and Christopher and by his sister Christine. Michael is survived by his siblings, Edward N. Jarvis (Daryl), Joseph H. A. Jarvis (Rebecca), Donald H. Jarvis (Patricia), Lucy A. Lewis (Merlin), Eleanor A. Bradt (James), Donna I. Thorne (Kenneth), and Mary A. Smith; as well as by his many nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Michael graduated from Mont Pleasant High School, Schenectady, NY, Class of '75, after which he attended college studies OIT and OSU, in Ohio. He went on to work under the employ of OSU as a computer operator, retiring in April of 2010, after 25 years of faithful service. Michael was an avid model airplane enthusiast with the Marion Airfoils and loved tinkering in the blacksmithing trade. He was a very passionate and competitive member of the gaming community. He frequently enjoyed attending movies and sharing meals with friends, being an especial fan of fantasy and science fiction. Michael's family will greet friends from 2-6 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2017, at the SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, Craven Chapel, 67 N. Main St., Mount Gilead, OH 43338. Services to honor and celebrate his life will immediately follow there at 6 p.m. with Celebrant Marvin Hintz officiating. Memorial contributions in Michael's name may be made to the , www.heart.org.
