Dear Dad,

Today marks one month that my grandson Kai'Ren was born. His eyes are so blue. He has your eyes and I can see you in them. I sure wish you could have met him And Amiyah your great granddaughter. She is super smart Dad. Sassy as can be and funny . It's been so long since I've written in here. Although I still write to you sometimes & bring it to the cemetery. Shaun is doing much better now. Hoping he stays the right path. I don't want to lose him like we lost you. You must have been bothering Mom bc she sent me the link today to this.
Maybe I should write in here more often. Time sure does fly, doesn't it ?

Dear Dad,

Although time has passed...We're approaching a year soon, but it still seems like yesterday. I am still trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together. Don't give up on me Dad, and don't leave. I need your help in figuring this one out. It still hurts so much, and the pain will NEVER go away.My life in a shambles right now and I can't help but wonder how I would be if you were home. You were supposed to be here by now..and they took that away from me.o All the plans that we had... Shaun is here now, and closer than I thought he could be. I think he may be straightening up, but He needs you. Stay close, we know you're here, but please stop messing with me before I go to bed... Just kidding... IT lets me know you're still here. I love you Dad, and I always will.

Dad,

It's been a while since I've been on here. Things have been really hard. I can still feel you with me at times, but not like I did before. I know you were there when Marshall was here..so what do you think? I've never had a chance to know what you thought about anyone I was with..except Billy...but that was just kiddy stuff. I miss you terribly, and although I don't cry as often, I know you see me crying alot over you. I just don't think the pain will ever go away...the empty space in my heart will always be here.

THIS IS A POEM THAT MY DAD HAD, I AM NOT SURE IF HE HAS WRITTEN IT, BUT IT SURE SEEMS TO HIT HOME:

DO YOU HAVE THE TIME

I'LL TAKE THE TIME TO ENJOY A SUNSET & BATHE IN THE SERENITY OF DUSK,

I'LL TAKE THE TIME TO CHERISH A SMILE AND RETURN ONE AS A MUST.

I'LL TAKE THE TIME TO HEAR THE BIRDS MELODIOUSLY SING,

I'LL TAKE THE TIME TO PUSH THE CHILDREN GENTLY ON THE SWING.

I'LL TAKE THE TIME TO CLIMB A MOUNTAIN,VIEW THE WORLD FROM UP ABOVE,

I'LL TAKE THE TIME TO BE ONE WITH THE EARTH,EMBRACE IT WITH MY LOVE.

I'LL TAKE THE TIME TO FIND MYSELF AND WALK A LESS TRAVELED ROAD,

I'LL TAKE THE TIME TO STARE AT THE STARS AS THEY INVADE THE DEPTHS OF MY SOUL.

I'LL TAKE THE TIME TO SHARE MY THOUGHTS WITH SOMEONE WHO MIGHT LEARN,

I'LL TAKE THE TIME TO DANCE WITH THE SPIRITS AROUND A FIRE AS IT BURNS.

I'LL TAKE THE TIME TO CREATE A PATH WHERE EXISTANCE KNOWS NO PAIN,

I'LL TAKE THE TIME TO RECIEVE THE BLESSINGS OF A WARM MIDSUMMER RAIN.

I'LL TAKE THE TIME THAT TIME ALLOWS, TO LIVE A LIFE THAT'S FREE,

I'LL TAKE THE TIME TO SHOW THE WORLD THAT TIME'S AN ETERNITY.
