Copley Michael F. Copley, born January 1, 1960, passed away suddenly from a heart attack on Friday, May 17, 2013. Born and raised in the southend of Columbus, Mike was a self-motivated, hard worker who earned his Bachelor's degree from Troy State University and Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School, while raising 3 young children. He was a retired Lt. Colonel from the Ohio Air National Guard and a respected JAG Officer in the Office of the U.S. Armed Forces. He traveled the world while serving our country as a Trial Attorney in the Office of the Chief Trial Attorney of the Air Force. In 2008, he met the love of his life, Ivy, at the Beijing Summer Olympics, and later married. He worked for the Columbus City Attorney's Office and was a former partner with Kegler, Brown, Hill and Ritter Associates. He was a successful entrepreneur and founder of The Copley Law Firm, LLC, at which he presented cases before the Ohio Supreme Court. Mike was a proud, supportive father of Tanya (Phillip) Bonner, Angie (Jeromey) Romans, Michael (Tera) Copley II, and Panpan Yang; a protective and respectful son of Floyd and Theresa Copley; a friend and brother to Eugene (Beverly) Copley, Barb Cantrell, Ronald (Vickie) Copley, and Rick (Amy) Copley; a devoted grandfather of Matthew, Elizabeth, Caitlin, Jeromey, Nathan, and Isaiah; and a charismatic uncle to many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, sense of humor and competitive spirit, which he often displayed while enjoying family game night. From this day forward, our lives will be forever changed without him. Family will receive family and friends Tuesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St., where services will be Wednesday, 10 a.m. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery. To view the on-line video and register, visit www.MaederQuintTiberi.com
