MICHAEL WILLIAM MOELLER, CFP, ChFC, CFS, CTS, age 64, of Plain City passed away on Friday morning, October 20, 2017 at home with his wife and sons by his side. He was born the oldest of five children on February 12, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio. His educational degrees include Franklin University – Bachelors in Business; Central Michigan University – Masters in Business; College for Financial Planning – Certified Financial Planner CFP; American College – Chartered Financial Consultant ChFC; Institute of Business & Finance – Certified Fund Specialist CFS and Institute of Business & Finance – Certified Tax Specialist CTS. Mike was the founder of the Ohio Tax Center, President of Moeller Financial Group, former City Council member and former Mayor of Plain City (1984-1988). He was instrumental in bringing Der Dutchman to Plain City, Blue Ribbon Panel, Corn Carnival etc…He was a member of Tartan Fields Country Club and a member St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, Dublin. His kids and grandkids were his passion and enjoying his favorite cigar on Clearwater Beach, FL. He was preceded in death by his father: William Robert Moeller. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years: Barbara Jean (Cahill) Moeller whom he married August 17, 1974; mother: Agnes J. (Bigelow) Moeller; children: Michael C. (Mimi Foster) Moeller, Caroline J. (Michael) Williamson, Matthew W. (Jennifer Dredge) Moeller; grandchildren: William C. Moeller, Samuel J. Moeller, Abigail L. Moeller, Agnes Pearl Williamson; siblings: Kathleen (Marty) Griffin, Patrick (Amy) Moeller, Larureen Repik, Maryann (Ike) Eversole; sister-in-law: Linda Cahill (Douglas) Scheiderer. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Ferguson Funeral Home, 202 E. Main St., (St. Rt. 161 W) Plain City, Ohio 43064. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, October 26, 2017 at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, 7179 Avery Road, Dublin, Ohio 43017 with Celebrants Fr. Matthew Morris and Msgr. Joseph M. Hendricks presiding. A reception will follow the service at the church then a procession and burial to the Forest Grove Cemetery, Plain City.
