Nancy Marie (Hysell) Hasson Obituary
Hasson Nancy Marie (Hysell) Hasson, age 80, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 11, 1937 to the late Curt and Mary (Ross) Hysell. Nancy worked as a waitress for over 50 years. She worked at a few different restaurants, but spent the majority of her career at the Longhorn (Cattle Club). She was a hard worker and will be missed by many of her patrons. Nancy loved people and had a brilliant sense of humor. She enjoyed traveling and especially loved her trip to Hawaii. She could be found dancing, playing cards, and listening to Elvis when she wasn't cleaning every nook and cranny of her beloved home. She and Jackie shared a special bond and a passion for all things Elvis. Nancy also enjoyed solving a good murder mystery; so much that her husband, Jim Earl, nicknamed her Nancy "Drew". Nancy was a huge Buckeyes fan, and loved her Dallas Cowboys. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Jim Earl, sister Margie (Dick) Penwell, stepmother Katie Hysell, stepfather Charles Heath. Nancy is survived by her children, Cheryl Smith and David Smith, Michael Hasson and Kim Trackler, Melissa (James) Newton, Lester (Alana) Barnett; siblings, Colleen (Pat) Knies, Danny (Donna) Hysell; grandchildren, Amanda, Danielle, Michael, Dakota; great-granddaughter Avery; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Monday, May 15, 2017 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E Livingston Ave. from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Schoedinger East Chapel at 11 a.m., with interment to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estates. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the and Heartland Hospice. Please visit www.schoedinger.com to leave fond memories of Nancy for her family.
