Allman Nellie Mae Kovaleski Allman, age 80, passed away at her residence on Sunday, September 27, 2015. She was born in Belle Valley, Ohio on October 18, 1934, the daughter of the late Owen and Hazel (Lyons) McCune. Nellie was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Newark and attended the Washington Avenue United Methodist Church in Columbus. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Nellie was also active in Chancel Guild, Candle Lighters, and a life member of the 95th Bomb Group. She is survived by her brother, Aubrey McCune; sister, Joyce McCune McMillen; nephew, Larry Allen (Marci) McCune of Westerville; great nieces and nephews, Toni (Gabe) Morrison, Austin McCune, and Hunter McCune; great-great niece, Lillian Mae Morrison; and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Nellie is preceded in death by her husbands Charles Kovaleski, and Russell Allman. Visitation will be held at the SNYDER-RODMAN FUNERAL CENTER, 1510 W. William St., Delaware, OH 43015, on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Graveside service will be held at Glen Rest Memorial Estate in Reynoldsburg on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gary Underwood officiating.
