Nolan Edward Harris Obituary
Harris Nolan Edward Harris, Nolan's game kick-off was September 3, 1990, the sudden final whistle, on June 18, 2017. Preceded into the locker room in the sky by his adoring grandparents Ernest Chandler, Mary Harris and Donald Harris. Left on the field his devoted parents, Dianne and Steve Harris; brother, Kyle Harris; grandmother, Phyllis Chandler, Aunts Tina (Chandler) Stubbs and Lisa Harris; Uncle Tom (Ellen) Harris; precious cousins, Matt Groves, Rob Doyle, Hope and Christopher Hammond, Tanya (Eddie) Pearson, and Nick (Jenny) Siwierka; and mascot and fur-brother, Buddy. Nolan was a 2009 graduate of Grove City High School, turning out for the football team all four years. He made his home in Grove City his entire life. Nolan was a gentle man of few words, but possessed a sly smile and impish sense of humor. Completely honest and kind he still did not hesitate to pronounce "bulls**t" on any situation or person that deserved it. He had his father's blue eyes and love of all sports, especially Ohio State football. From childhood on Nolan loved all holidays, especially dressing up to pass out candy at Halloween and helping his mom with decorating the house and decorating and eating cookies at Christmas. He also monitored and reported when the package count under the Christmas tree has reached appropriate proportions. He liked movies and all music but learned to especially like country music from his Grandpa Chandler. He had an appreciation for American History and continued to study it informally. He had several pastimes, especially painting wood and gourd bird houses, sketching, X-Box gaming, working out at the YMCA, and working on the model train layout in the basement with his dad. Nolan dreamed of getting married, having a family and of course coaching football. Unfortunately, the clock has run down before he could accomplish these dreams. Season highlights/ memorial gathering are planned at THE SPENCE-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 2697 Columbus Street, Grove City, Ohio on Saturday from 10 a.m.-12 noon. Final interment at a later date in Union Cemetery, as near to Woody Hays as he can get. He will live in our hearts forever. Online condolences may be left at www.spencemillerfuneralhome.com
