Norm Hausfeld Obituary
Hausfeld Norm Hausfeld, age 88, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017, in Hilliard. Born October 19, 1928, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Theresa and Raymond Hausfeld. Norm was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting, water skiing and boating, and a good game of golf and pool. He was a handyman extraordinaire to anyone in need. Norm was a graduate of Aquinas High School, American Institute of Banking, Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, and the Real Estate Institute. He was a 12 Yr. veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard, a retired Real Estate Professional, former member of the Lion's Club. A member of St. Andrew Catholic Church for over 46 years. Past President and over 35-year member of the Marian Foundation Board. Preceded in death by brother Robert Hausfeld and sister-in-law Irene Hausfeld. Survived by loving wife of 67 years, Mary Jayne Hausfeld; daughter, Marianne (Ron) Walters of Upper Arlington; sons, Donald (Judy) of Roswell, Georgia, and Michael of Dublin; six loved grandchildren, Kim (Steve) Peck, Tricia (Chris) Sakles, Alle (Jared) Campbell, Kelsey (Andrew) Pocock, Mekenzie and Cassandra Hausfeld; much loved great-grandchildren, Carson and Caroline Peck, Samson, Sheppard and Solomon Sakles, and Noah Pyles; sister, Mary Jayne Unger; nieces and nephews; and special friends, Theresa Hausfeld and Warwick Ferretti. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 14, from 5-7 p.m. at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington, OH 43085. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Rd., on Thursday, June 15 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The Hausfeld family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the staff at Kindred Hospice, and the memory care staff at Hilliard Assisted Living & Memory Care.
