Norma Bailey Obituary
Bailey, Norma
1937 - 2017
Norma R. Bailey, age 79, of Pataskala, passed away August 5, 2017, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Norma was born to the late Robert and Corrine (Seneff) Hall on September 8, 1937 in Jefferson, KY. She was a graduate of Gahanna Lincoln H.S. Norma loved life and stayed active. After retirement from the BMV and moving industry she enjoyed her weekly euchre game with friends. Norma was a class instructor for the Gahanna YMCA silver sneakers and held officer roles with the Lima Seniors Club and Summit Seniors. Last year she worked effortlessly for the Trump campaign and was even able to meet him. Her family, friends and doctors got to hear about her excursions, including trips to the convention, the Inauguration and a Victory cruise, whether they wanted to or not. She also loved showing everyone pictures of her trips to Hawaii, Las Vegas and her favorite the Smoky Mountains. She enjoyed having family and friends over for fishing in her pond or just sitting around talking and playing cards. Her passing will leave a hole in the hearts of her very large family and circle of friends in the Pataskala area. Norma is survived by her children, Tim (Terri) Bailey, Reynoldsburg, Kathy Waites, Jerry (Wendy) Bailey, Sharon (Rick Kotrba) Bailey, Beverly (Philip) Damron, Pataskala; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lamara (Wally), Pataskala, Mary Henson, Hebron; and numerous others that considered her their adopted mom and grandmother. Norma is preceded in death by her husband Donald, son Donnie, brother Jerry, son-in-law Dave. A visitation will be held WEDNESDAY, August 9, 2017, from 4-7 p.m. at PFEIFER FUNERAL HOME, Reynoldsburg, where her funeral service will be held on Thursday, 11 a.m. with Rocky Robey officiating.
