Norma "Beni" Nolen, age 85 went home to be with the Lord and Savior on January 11, 2018 following years of illnesses which she faced with courage, determination and her Christian faith. Norma was born May 1, 1932 to the late Leslie and Bessie Wicker. She was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth Wicker, Frank Wicker, Wayne Wicker, sisters Lorraine "Jean" Steinmetz, Arnetta "Lou" Craft, Lavern Allen and Marilyn "Lee" Lockhart. She is survived by brothers Harold "Duke" (Lee) Wicker, Carl Wicker, sister Alma Willis, Reba "Ann" Willis and Virginia (Wayne) Dundon. She is also survived by her 3 children Johnda (Larry) Smith, Joseph (Liz) Nolen, Jamie (Carla) Nolen, granddaughter Amber Nolen, grandson Shawn (Morgan) Nolen and great grandson Braxton Nolen. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, friends at Chestnut Grove and Summit Trace. Her beloved caregiver for many years Joyce Blankenship and her "granddogs" Sasha and Izzie. She had a smile and friendliness that touched the hearts of all she met. She always tried to encourage and lift up the spirits of all she met, even when she was at her worse. A passion and love for flowers. She could take something dead and make it come to life. She was a previous member of Wheelersburg Baptist Church and currently a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. The family will accept visitors on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Fellowship Baptist Church, 4701 Winchester Pike, Columbus, OH from 10am until time of her celebration at 11am with Pastor Tony Luizzo officiating. Burial on Friday at 11am at Vernon Cemetery, Wheelersburg, OH with Rev Brandly Brandt officiating. Flowers in her honor will be accepted at Fellowship Baptist Church.
