Mulbarger, Phyllis
Phyllis A. Carson Mulbarger, age 93, a lifelong resident of Bexley, Ohio was born on June 12, 1924, and died on July 6, 2017. Phyllis graduated from Bexley High School and attended The Ohio State University where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. Phyllis and Tom, her husband of 61 years, met when they were in the 5th grade. Phyllis was a Christian Scientist, a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Columbus and The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. She was president of Pleasure Guild and a member of Childhood League and Childhood League Board IV. She was also a member at the Columbus Country Club. Phyllis was deeply, profoundly grateful for every single day and she brought joy to everyone she met. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Stockley Mulbarger. She is survived by and will always be loved by their daughters, Pamela (Thomas) Workman and Cynthia (Richard) Bartley; grandchildren, Chris (Catherine Christman) Workman, Sarah (Mark) Checcone, Diane Bartley (Andrew Miller) and Jane (Tim) Hozier; great grandchildren, Eleanor and Philippa Workman; Massimo, Lilia, Quintino and Vivia Checcone; Paige and Cordelia Miller Bartley; Annie Hozier. Her family and friends celebrate her boundless love, her steadfast devotion, her beautiful home and gardens and her vibrant wit. Friends may call 12 noon-1 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2017 at the SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL, 229 East State Street, Columbus, OH 43215, where a memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Bexley Education Foundation, 348 S.
