Wright Phyllis Ruth Harbin Wright, passed away on September 10, 2013 at her daughter's home in Huntsville, Alabama. She was 85 years old. She was born on August 21, 1928 to Gordon C. and Mildred G. (Brown) Harbin of Saginaw, Michigan. Phyllis wedded George J. Wright, Jr., at the Jefferson Ave. Methodist Church in Saginaw on September 1, 1951. He survives her in death. During their married life, the Wrights lived in Columbus and Toledo, Ohio; Casco, Michigan; Greenville, Ohio; returned to Columbus; Centerburg and Elyria, both in Ohio; Houston, Texas; and Huntsville, Alabama. Phyllis graduated from Saginaw High School in 1946 and from the Saginaw General Hospital School of Nursing in 1949. She was a registered nurse who lovingly cared for her patients in Saginaw; Greenville, Ohio, and Columbus, Ohio. She specialized in geriatrics and retired from St. Rita's Nursing Home, Columbus, where she had served as a floor nurse, then as director of nursing. Preceding her in death were Phyllis's parents, brother Donald Harbin, sister-in-law Beatrice (Zacharias) Harbin and brother-in-law and sister-in-law William and Gael (Wright) Thompson, Sr. She is survived by her daughters, Ellen Jo Lady and husband, David of Huntsville, Susan Beth Sprang and husband, David of Gladwin, Michigan, and Ruth Ann Wright of Huntsville. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren, Jeanne Lady, Jason and Julie (Meyer) Lady, and Mark and Lesley (Panzica) Sprang, whom she loved with all her heart. She also leaves three nephews, three nieces, and "honorary daughter", Rebecca Kessinger. Following her wishes, Phyllis will be cremated. She will be interred at the St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery in Greenville, Ohio. A private graveside service will be held at a future date.
