Ralph Richard Perdue, Sr., 94, of Blacklick, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017. Son of Pearle Ray and Florence Perdue. He was preceded in death by wife of 55 years Geneva G. (Smith) Perdue, brothers David Ray, Winfield Emmit, and Howard Layton Perdue. Survived by son, Ralph R. Perdue, Jr.; special friends, Gaye Adkins and Thelma Holmes; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Ralph retired form Columbus Police Department after 26 years service. Veteran US Army Air Corps. Life member Amvets Post #89, Capital City Lodge #9, F.O.P., Police & Fire Retirees of Ohio, Chapter #6. Member Columbus Lodge #30 F&AM; Scottish Rite, Valley of Columbus, Aladdin Temple Shrine, member Shrine Picadors, Aladdin Morgan Horse Patrol, Royal Order of Jesters Court #8. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Cotner Funeral Home 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Dr. William J. Beausay, officiating. Burial following at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg. Contributions may be made in Ralph's memory to Hospice of Central Ohio.
