Ray Cook Obituary
Cook, Ray
1959 - 2017
Ray Jeffery Cook, 58, of Westerville, was born on April 18, 1959 and passed away on November 24, 2017. Ray was a beloved son of Raymond Alexander and Dorothy Lepic Cook. A devoted husband for 27 years to his wife Michele (Burke) Cook and a caring and loving father to Ray Jeffery Cook and Kayla Elizabeth Cook. Ray was a loyal brother and uncle to Sheri (Mark) Dillon, Kristen (Keith) McCalla, Ali Dillon, Jon Dillon, Kim (Eric) Culp, Kelsey (Nathan) Billups, Kacie Culp, Robb (Paula) Cook, Ashton Cook, Amber Cook and Allison Cook, and was a wonderful son-in-law to Jacqueline (Crock) Burke. He also had many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law and friends. So many were touched and blessed by his kind heart, thoughtful ways and gentle demeanor. Ray always put his family first. The support he gave his wife and children was truly one-of-a-kind and a true reflection of his character. He had a positive attitude about life, always telling us to have fun while striving to reach our dreams. He always provided a sense of comfort to Ray and passed on a contagious smile to his "Pretty Girl," Kayla. Ray was a graduate of Bridgeport High School and furthered his education by earning his Bachelor's degree at Ohio Wesleyan University and his Master's Degree at West Virginia University. Ray attended and supported Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was employed by the State of Ohio – Department of Education. He was preceded in death by his grandparents James and Olive Cook and James and Anna Lepic, and his father-in-law William T. Burke Sr. The family would like to sincerely thank all the wonderful caregivers at The James Cancer Hospital for the endless compassion that was shown to Ray and his family throughout his journey.
