Rhoda Barbara Pomerantz Linder, passed away on November 12, 2017, a lifelong animal advocate, a generous and loyal friend, a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother. She loved Broadway musicals; dancing; making collages of her family, friends, dogs, and other animals; and swimming for diabetes - for which she was once the high earner in Columbus, five years in a row. Rhoda was born in Pittsfield, MA to Ann and Herbert Pomerantz. She adored her big brother Philip. She got her teaching degree at the North Adams State Teachers College. Rhoda loved to raise money for charities, going door to door for many years for the March of Dimes. Rhoda is survived by her daughter, Hilary Griffith (Brian); her daughter, Joselin Linder (Aaron Fannin); grandchildren, Addison and Billy; brother, Philip Pomerantz (Paula); nieces, Deb and Sarah Pomerantz, Molly Almeda and Miriam Pomerantz; and nephews, David Pomerantz (Meribeth) and Adam Pomerantz; best friends, Jackie and Jimmy Shulman and many other close friends whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents Ann and Herbert, her aunt Rae Kronick and her beloved husband of 25 years, Billy. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, November 15 at Epstein Memorial Chapel, 3232 E. Main St. Interment will follow at New Tifereth Israel Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at the home of Hilary and Brian Griffith on Wednesday immediately following the services and Thursday from 5-8 pm.
