Richard Henry Eiselt, born in Columbus, 2 March 1928, the son of Henry Edward and Geneva F. (Roeper) Eiselt, died December 3rd at his home. Survived by son, Richard Henry II (Gayle) of Dublin; daughters, Rebecca Lynn Daum of Granville, OH, and Gretchen Liesl (Matthew) Harding of Bexley, OH; grandsons, Nicolaus Vaughn Daum of Grandview, OH and Spencer Henry Eiselt of Dublin, OH; granddaughters, Sydney Margaret Eiselt of Dublin, OH, Bryn Aquinnah, Lili Katherine and Margaux Lynn Harding of Bexley, OH; brother-in-law, Dr. Edward R. Fadell; and especially dear friend, Julia A. Brown. Predeceased by his twin sister Particia Fadell of Madison, WI. Mr. Eiselt was former president of the Columbus Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, Greater Columbus Arts Council & The Image Group. Former member, Architects Society of Ohio, Columbus Urban Renewal Commission and charter member, German Village Commission. Member Emeritus of the American Institute of Architects. Following graduation from Bexley High School Mr. Eiselt received a Bachelor of Architecture from The Ohio State University in 1953. Mr. Eiselt succeeded his father, Henry Edward Eiselt, in a private architectural practice since 1954, registered in 34 states and the District of Columbia, retiring in 1987. Former trustee of the Architects Society of Ohio and Columbus Junior Theater of the Arts. Member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, serving 7 years on their Board of Control and presented with "Outstanding Alumnus Award." Former member of the University Club and the Columbus Maennerchor. Mr. Eiselt received numerous photographic and architectural design excellence awards. He contributed a series of architectural articles for The Columbus Dispatch. Friends may call this Friday, December 8 from 4-7pm at the SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN Chapel, 229 East State St., Columbus, OH 43215. A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 9 at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial to follow.
