Robert D. "Bob" Castle Obituary
Castle Robert "Bob" D. Castle, 50, passed away at Kobacker House after a courageous battle on Sunday, April 9, 2017. He was born in Columbus, OH on July 25, 1966 to Earl and Judy (Akers) Castle. Bob worked for Big Bear for 13 years and Chase for 17 years, but his most fulfilling job was working at CCHS where he worked with MRDD adults. For Bob, family was everything. He was dedicated to both his family and his church family at Maize Manor United Methodist Church where he served in many capacities. Bob was a member of the Whetstone High School Band Boosters. He coached soccer and baseball at Woodward Park. He was an avid Buckeyes fan. Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Alice (Casto) Castle; sons, Kyle and Kevin; sister Cindy (Curt) Fraley; nephews, Damian and Conner Fraley; sister, Vicki Lemaster; nephews, Ashton and Hunter Lemaster; brother-in-law, Ed (Wanda) Casto; neice, Marina Casto and nephew, Mason Casto; brother-in-law, Kelly (Kathy) Casto; niece, McKenzie Casto. In addition Bob will be dearly missed by many family members and friends. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, OH 43229. A funeral service will be held at Maize Manor UMC, 3901 Maize Rd., Columbus, OH 43224 on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 11 a.m. with an hour of visitation beginning at 10 a.m. For both visitation and funeral service please dress in OSU gear. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Maize Manor UMC and Whetstone HS Marching Band, 4405 Scenic Dr., Columbus, OH 43214.
