McDONNELL Robert J. McDonnell, age 68, of Delaware, Ohio passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012. He was preceded in death by parents Lester and Edith McDonnell, brothers William, Theordore and Donald McDonnell. He will be sadly missed and is survived by his loving wife, Carol of 48 years; children, Laura (Doug) Zallanta of Powell, Diane (Trace) VanDyne of Sunbury, Kevin (Bonnie) McDonnell of Powell; brothers, Ronald of Boise, Idaho and Fred of Hilliard; as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Robert graduated from Central High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He owned Bob McDonnell Body Shop and worked at GAB Appraisal Services, enjoyed being a private pilot and joining friends on ham radio. He was a very giving person who was always there for anyone in need. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012 at St. Paul the apostle Parish, 313 North State Street, Westerville, Ohio. Fr. Daniel Dury Celebrant.
