Turrin, Robert
Robert E. Turrin, age 81, of Reynoldsburg, was called to the Lord after a battle with Alzheimer's Disease on the early morning of September 3, 2017. Robert was born August 28, 1936, to the late Frank and Beulah Turrin in New Philadelphia, Ohio and moved to Columbus with his three siblings. There he was raised in St. Vincent's Orphanage and attended two years of high school at Holy Rosary and two years at Columbus Boys Trade School. After high school, Robert served three years in the US Army, stationed in Germany. Following his military service, He attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering and started his married life with Jerilyn in 1963. He retired from Lucent Technologies after 37 years and worked 12 more years for Dave Gill Pontiac. Robert enjoyed many years of world travel with his wife after his retirement. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his siblings Jean Fine, Frank Turrin, Mary Margaret Turrin, daughter-in-law Carole Turrin and nephew Michael Turrin. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jerilyn A. (Shearn) Turrin; children, Robert Turrin, James Turrin, Steven (LeeAnn) Turrin, Angela (Joseph) Edwards, Christopher (Camela) Turrin, Monica (Thomas) Burke, Andrew (Stephanie) Turrin, Aaron Turrin; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Donna Turrin; brother-in-law, Dan (Madeline) Parks; along with numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on THURSDAY, September 7, 2017, from 6-8 p.m., at the PFEIFER FUNERAL HOME, Reynoldsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Robert on Friday 10:30 a.m., at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1051 S. Waggoner Road, Reynoldsburg, with Msgr. David Funk officiating.
