Suhr Robert Wesley Suhr, age 70. A Buckeye Lake resident in Thornville, OH, died at home September 6, 2013. Born in Gainesville, FL to the late Wesley Suhr and Jean Suhr. Preceded in death by wife Vicky Lee Suhr. Survived by daughters, Erika Lynn (Michael) Huffman and Megan Jean Suhr; and son, Shane Suhr; granddaughter, Lola Jean Coole; sister, Martha (Michael) Rolland and their children, Christopher and Mark Rolland; brother-in-law, Vernon George, Jr.; uncle and aunt, Paul and Nancy Scott and their children, Alan, Paul Jr Scott and Connie Scott Bowen; close friends, Sarah Jane Welsh and Dave Walcoff. Bob served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Bob will be remembered for his dynamic personality, intelligence, laughter, story telling and the strength that he gave everyone who was lucky enough to know him. Bob graduated from Capital Law School. He spent the rest of his life practicing in Franklin and surrounding counties in Ohio, helping many people. He fought to uphold his personal beliefs against the morality of the death penalty throughout his entire career. Bob was a renaissance man whose many interests included - music, motorcycles, love of learning, education, reading, and sharing knowledge with others. He loved all animals, especially his beloved dog and best friend, Gracie. Anyone that knew Bob Suhr, knows it is impossible to condense his life accomplishments in this small space. His life was big as was his smile. He lived life large and he will be dearly missed. A celebration of Bob's life is being held at SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, Victorian Village Chapel, 34 W. 2nd Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43201 on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 7 p.m., where friends may call one hour prior to service. Immediately following will be a get together for love and laughter at a local restaurant; to be announced at the service. Fr. Bill Pursley officiating.
