Ronald W. Larason Obituary
Larason Ronald W. Larason, age 83, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born November 20, 1933 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Leon Lee and Gertrude Ellen (Walker) Larason. Ron started his working career as a paperboy with the Dispatch at the age of 9 years old. He also worked with various drug store companies in Columbus while attending East High School and Capital University. Ron enlisted in the US Army where he served during the Korean Conflict Era. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he resumed his college studies. Ron worked in the Doctor and Hospital Supply industry, and he was a vocalist and director of several church and corporate choirs. He retired from the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services. After retirement he worked for over 20 years for Mind Leaders as an Operations Assistant. Ron was a proud member of Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church for over 30 years. He is survived by loving wife of 45 years, Phyllis (Esswein) Larason; brother-in-law, Daniel (Debra) Esswein; sister-in-law, Martha (Randy) Van Kirk; nieces and nephews, David, Dustin and Danise Esswein, Laura (friend, Jeff) Bush and Michael (Sara) Bush; great nephew, Harley Bush and great niece, Jericha Bush. Family will receive friends Friday, May 26, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High Street. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 5099 Postlewaite Road, Columbus, Ohio 43235, where family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment with military honors to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 E. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Pregnancy Decision Health Centers, 665 E. Dublin Granville Rd., #120, Columbus, OH 43229 or the Parkinson's Foundation, 2800 Corporate Exchange Dr., #265, Columbus, OH 43231.
