Martin Rosalie Martin, 57, of Granville, was called to God Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville. Born August 28, 1956 to Mary Ann and Hubert Lester Thompson in Springfield, she was the youngest of six siblings, Bonnie (Richard) Pack, Roy (Debbie) Thompson, Dave (Nancy) Thompson, Johnny Thompson and Sally (Jim) Boles. A 1978 graduate of Marion Harding High School she married her high school love Calvin Dean Martin, June 10, 1978 and was soon blessed with a daughter, Ann Marie in January of 1981. A long time employee of Aetna she transitioned from office management into IT support services. During her employment she formed many strong bonds and lasting relations with fellow coworkers. An avid gardener, crafter and quilter she was happiest sharing her beautiful creations with family and friends. Through the endless beauty of her garden and the delicate patterns of her quilts she expressed her reverence of God's creations. A firm believer in Jesus Christ she found comfort in his word and his presence in her life. Rosalie was a selfless soul; she always sought to bring joy and happiness to others through small gestures and tailored crafts. Diligently she tended the needs of her family and leaves the world a brighter place through her smile, work and kindness. She is survived by her husband, Calvin Martin; daughter, Ann (Steve) Leonard; grandson, Parker Leonard; mother, Mary Faunce; father, Hubert Thompson; sisters, Bonnie (Richard) Pack, Sally (Jim) Boles; brothers, Roy (Debbie) Thompson, Dave (Nancy) Thompson.
