Shirley May Tullos, age 82, of Sunbury passed away Thursday afternoon, March 15, 2018 comfortably at her home. She was born on February 21, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio the daughter of the late William Ervin and Bessie (Strickland) Manning. Shirley was a graduate of West High School and worked as a dietary manager for Manor Care in Westerville for 14 years. She also attended the New Albany Church of the Nazarene. She was married to and was preceded in death by her loving husband, William L. "Bill" Tullos. They were happily married for 54 years. Shirley loved gardening and reading, especially Stephen King novels and was an excellent cook. She also enjoyed listening to music; country and blues were her favorite. Shirley loved traveling and visited many memorable places such as Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Amsterdam. She will be greatly missed by her sons Larry and William of Sunbury, Mark (Lisa) of Marysville; daughter Heidi (Patrick) Price of Gahanna; grandchildren Taylor, Alec and Madilyn LaRoche; sister Annabelle Murray of Wellston, Ohio; brother Don Manning of Tampa, Florida; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Bill she was preceded in death by her siblings Irene, Evelyn, Denver, Lottie, Junior, and Wilma Jean. Friends may call on the family on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 5-8 PM at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 637 North State Route 61, Sunbury, Ohio 43074. Funeral services will be held there on Wednesday at 11 AM. Burial to follow at Trenton Cemetery in Sunbury. The DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home of Sunbury is honored to serve Shirley's family.
