CHAPPELL Thomas A. Chappell, age 84, of Columbus, died Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Forest Hills Center. Born November 24, 1927 in Ashland, KY to the late William E. and Hazel (Hutchinson) Chappell, he was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He received his BS in accounting from Ohio State University (he remained an avid Buckeye fan), and retired from Rockwell International. Preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Alice M. Chappell in 2011. He is survived by his three daughters, Elaine (John) Bosse, Canal Winchester, Linda (Dan) Emerson, Roswell, GA, Gerri (Noel) Rini, Pickerington; grandchildren, Erin Kimbrell, Brooke Bosse, Tom Emerson, Jeff Emerson, Angeline Rini, Carrie Deem, David Emerson; great-grandchildren, Elaine Kimbrell, Max Deem and Mason Deem. Friends may visit 5-7:30 p.m. Monday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, where funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Ed Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
