Thomas G. Parknavy, 79, of Plain City, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born November 4, 1938 in Boardman, Ohio to the late George Bernard and Mary Margaret Parknavy. Tom was a 1956 graduate of Boardman High School. He attended, Youngstown University, The Ohio State University and graduated from Franklin University with a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering. A Veteran of the United States Navy. He attended St. John's Lutheran Church of Dublin. Tom was a member of the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) and a certified Aircraft Mechanic. He enjoyed tinkering, inventing, mechanics, aviation and music, most recently playing his accordion. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister Sarah Parknavy and great granddaughter Aliyah. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lucy Parknavy, whom he married on April 28, 1962; devoted daughters, Virginia Irene ( Scott) Kendall, Barb Parknavy, Suzanne Marie (Mark) Ford; grandchildren, Morgan Elizabeth Ford, Joel Emerson Kendall, Christal Joy Kendall; siblings, Doris (Don) Daniszewski, Charles Parknavy; several nieces, nephews and many good friends. A Memorial Service to celebrate Tom's life will be held at 2 PM Friday, March 16, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 6135 Rings Road, Dublin, Ohio 43016, with Pastor Adam Steinbrenner officiating.
