Thomas P. Maney Sr. Obituary
Maney Thomas P. Maney, Sr., beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home in Worthington, OH on March 16, 2017. Tom is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley T. (Kuhn); children, Thomas Jr. of Naples, FL, Mabel of San Francisco, CA, Barbara Baker of Cleveland, OH, Cynthia of Worthington, OH and Daniel of Worthington, OH; grandchildren Patrick Maney, Flannery Maney, Catherine Baker and Thomas Baker; and his devoted dog, Katie. He was born October 27, 1932 in Wisconsin, graduated from St. Mary's High School in Menasha and earned a B.A. from Marquette University in 1954. After serving two years in the Army, he went on to a successful career as an entrepreneur. Tom held several patents and founded many successful businesses including Franklin Sales, Franklin Manufacturing, Franklin Disposables, MayFam Realty and Venture Properties. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Laura Maney and six siblings. He has one surviving sibling, Joanne Mahoney of Woodland Hills, CA; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Tom was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan and part owner of the team. In the last few months of his life, he was fortunate to have a loving and compassionate caregiver, Paea Lakei Hughes.
