Houck Virginia Rae Houck, 95, of Columbus, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2016 at Kensington Place. She was born on January 27, 1922 in Pataskala, OH, a daughter to the late Charles and Ethel (Atkinson) Merrill. Virginia was a member at Summit Station United Methodist Church where she served as the organist for many years. She enjoyed playing sports and singing in many choirs in her life. Virginia was an avid Reds and OSU fan. She is survived by her loving children, Steve (Beverly), Stan (Becky) and Marcia Green; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband John E., son-in-law Dennis Green and siblings Dane Merrill, Margaret Dean and Audrey Bostwick. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43062. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Cady officiating. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in New Albany. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Summit Station United Methodist Church, 6626 Summit Rd. SW, Pataskala, OH, 43062 in Virginia's memory.
