Wendy Carol Sues, age 40, passed away peacefully at her home, on November 21, 2017, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born in Akron, Ohio on May 13, 1977, to Jack Sues (pre-deceased) and Denetta Noorda Rusch. She is survived by her loving parents, Denetta and Dennis Rusch; her devoted life-partner, Anna Vogt; brothers, Jason (LeeAnn) Sues and Matthew (Christi) Rusch; nephews and nieces, Jonathan and Megan, Bradyn, Bryce, Caleigh and Baryn; grandmother, Myrna (Gary) Openshaw; and many special friends. After graduating from Firestone High School, Class of 1995, she went on to graduate from The Ohio State University in 1999. Wendy was a banker with Key Bank for 17 years. Wendy's biggest love was her family and friends. She also loved the ocean, travelling, boating, playing softball and listening to country music with a little bourbon on the side. Family will receive friends from 11am-2pm Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street in Worthington (1/2 mile South of I-270), where her Funeral Service will follow at 2pm. Following the service, fellowship will continue with the family at the funeral home until 4pm. A loving cremation will follow her services. An avid Buckeye fan…her family would appreciate those attending, wear their Buckeye pride. Her family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions be made to the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer research in memory of Wendy.
