William James Robinson, 84, of Findlay, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at his Columbus home. He was born on Novmeber 17, 1933 in Rawson to the late Lawrence Joseph and N. Marquerite (Wallin) Robinson. He married Sally Lee McGrouary, they celebrated 58 years of marriage and she preceded him in death on September 9, 2017. He is survived by two sons, Kyle (Lisa) Robinson of Roswell, GA and Brent Robinson of Findlay; two daughters, Lisa (Ron) Geracci of Seminole, FL and Angie Robinson of Findlay; eight grandchildren, Shayna Looney, Ronald Geracci, Jr., Jacob (Sarah) Robinson, Matthew Robinson, Jeremy Robinson, Joshua Robinson, Geoffrey (Ashley) Eberle and Gabyrel Robinson; and three great-grandchildren, Sophia Robinson, Noah William Robinson and Mari Eberle. Two sisters Helen Ruth Wentz and Maryann "Susie" Bogard also preceded him in death. Bill was a graduate of Rawson High School; he attended Bowling Green State University and Georgia Tech where he played
basketball at both schools. He founded Act 1 Staffing in 1959 and continued to operate the company until his passing. He was a loyal OSU Fan and held memberships in the Presidents Club and the Buckeye Club. Bill was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing (at 84, he shot his first deer with a cross-bow). He was a horse enthusiast and was part owner of a horse racing team. He loved his dog, Kodak (deceased), but most of all, loved spending time with his family. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Monsignor Michael Hohenbrink will officiate. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to St. Michael the Archangel Parish and online condolences can be shared by visiting coldrencrates.com.
