Lee Dean Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jun. 28 to Jul. 5, 2009.
DEAN Lee Edward Dean, 64, died Friday, June 26, 2009 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital following a heart attack suffered June 17, 2009. Although a native of Georgia, Lee made Columbus his home. A truer Buckeye could not be found. "Mr. Lee" was a man of great faith, and as he has been called home at last, many are the hearts saddened for a time. His smile shall not dim in the hearts of family and friends. Beloved by Alandria, Rob, Myson, Alex and Tracy; Terri, Amanda, Eugene, Sammy, Mike; friends on Martin Avenue. An employee at Bodega Restaurant in the Short North, it was well-known that Lee took a great deal of pride in his work, but they took even more pride in knowing him as a friend. Lee was a founding member of St. Luke Parish, and beloved companion and friend to all. Mass of Christian Burial scheduled Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Ascension of Our Lord Cathedral, The Reformed Catholic Church, 787 E. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio. Rev. Mother Susan Carol Orlos, Pastor, St. Luke, officiating. Arrangements entrusted to the MAEDER QUINT TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. HIGH.

You will be missed Lee! You were one of the first people to welcome us into this neighborhood, and we will never forget it. May you rest in peace.

It made me very sad to hear of Lee's passing. He was a good man, a father figure for many and he had a kind smile. He seemed to never meet a stranger. He will be missed.

I loved our chats on the porch. Lee was so humble and friendly. He especially loved my son and if I went outside without him he always asked where he was. Lee was always smiling even after a hard day of work, and was always so good with children. I will miss him. It was hard to see him go so suddenly. Love you, Lee.

Lee was an incredibly kind man who really cared about the kids on our block. He was a hard worker and the kind of person you could not help but respect. Our neighborhood will not be the same without him. You are missed friend. Let us all keep hope in the promise of resurrection.
