Liddil Wilbur A. Liddil, age 87, Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Mother Angeline McCrory. Born May 21, 1926 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Wilber and Loretta Liddil. Preceded in death by loving wife of 67 years, Etta Mae, three grandchildren, brother Charles and sister Betty. Survived by children, Sandra M. (Rick) Moore, Janet Sager, Mary A. (Rick) Hensel, Shirley (Tim) Tefft, Wilbur J. (Debbie) Liddil, Suellen (Mark) Greatorex; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. WWII Navy Veteran who served in the South Pacific. Retired from The Columbus Dispatch. Member of American Legion, Central Ohio Home Plate Club, and Ohio LST/Amphibs Assoc. Avid sports fan who loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Cincinnati Bengals. Originally members of St. Mary Church, German Village, where they wed on November 11, 1946; 50 years + members of Corpus Christi Church. Friends received Monday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St. Prayer service at 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 10 a.m., at Corpus Christi Church, 1111 E. Stewart Ave. Father Rod Damico, Celebrant. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery.
