Hume, Jr. Thomas Dixon Hume Jr., 78, of Centerburg passed away Friday evening February 14, 2014 at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville. He was born April 18, 1935 in Marshall County, West Virginia to Thomas Dixon Hume Sr. and Hilda Camille (Stalnaker) Hume. He was a printing estimator for the Xerox Company and later the Longaberger Corporation, retiring in 2007. He was a member of the Groveport Masonic Lodge F&AM #0240. He enjoyed classic cars, including his 1968 Pontiac Catalina, and collecting Titanic memorabilia. Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Andrew (Terri) Hume of Croton and Bradley (Jennifer) Hume of Pataskala; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan, Danielle, Bradley II, and Sara; two great-grandchildren, Ali and Sophia; brother, Robert (Marcia) Hume of Clayton, North Carolina; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends on Monday February 17 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the DEVORE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 637 North State Route 61, Sunbury, Ohio. Graveside services will be held at the Stalnaker Cemetery in Elkins, West Virginia. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
