Miller Charles "Chuck" Miller - The family of Charles "Chuck" Edward Hammond Miller is saddened to announce he departed this life on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 following a brief illness. Charles was born on October 21, 1945 in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. He was proud to become a United States citizen which allowed him to serve his country in the U.S. Navy. For the past 27 years he lived in Columbus with his wife and children. Following 20 years of owning Professional Painters of Dublin, he retired and was enjoying his grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by son Edward (Nicole Niday), his parents and three brothers. Charles is survived by his wife of 34 years, Karen (Scharf); two sons, Jeffrey (Kristen) and Daniel (Kate Michalko); two grandsons, Edward Niday and Joseph Miller; one brother; four sisters and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday, February 20, 2014, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 W. Olentangy Street (Powell Rd./St. Rt. 750/1/4 mile east Sawmill Pkwy), Powell, OH 43065. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 10 a.m. at ST. JOAN OF ARC CATHOLIC CHURCH, 10700 Liberty Rd. S., Powell, OH 43065 with interment immediately following at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital ICU Fund (Fund #04136) in gratitude of the compassionate care provided by the critical care nurses and staff.
