Scranton Richard "Dick" Scranton, 86, of Columbus, OH, died Thursday, February 13, 2014. Preceded in death by his daughter Patricia, and son-in-law Jerry Rogers. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; children, Mary Rogers, Joseph (Lorrie) Scranton, Paul (Cathy) Scranton, Mark (Jenny) Scranton, and Ric (Kim) Scranton; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. Throughout his adult life, Dick actively supported the Catholic Church as a Lay Minister and Usher, as well as his favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The family would like to thank the staff and residents at the Laurels of Hilliard for the extraordinary care they provided; as well as VITAS hospice for staying by his side during his final days to insure a peaceful transition.
