Newsome Pamela Sue Newsome, age 59, resided in Columbus, Ohio. She was found deceased on February 15, 2014, at her home. Pam was born June 3, 1954, in South Charleston, West Virginia to Luther and Lena Newsome. She is survived by her mother, Lena Newsome; and her sister, Sandra Yates and her husband, John Yates; her nieces, Jennifer Miller and her husband, Derek Miller, Micala Yates; five great nephews and nieces, Neasa and Nicholas Calleja and Jayden, Kaeda and Hudson Miller; as well as an extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition, she is survived by close family friends, Connie and Talmadge Mabry along with their children, and grandchildren. Many other friends and colleagues. Pam graduated from Nashville Freewill Baptist Bible College in 1976 and was an educator with the Columbus City School System. Her first priority was to the loving care of her mother and was just as dedicated to students and peers. She was passionate for the arts, photography, and painting, well as, OSU sports. Pam's passing was unexpected to all family and friends and she will be truly missed by many here, but is having a reunion in Heaven with her father, grandparents, and family that have gone on before her. Pam's faith was true. Friends may call Sunday, February 23, at the O. R. WOODYARD CO CHAPEL, 1346 S. High St. from 2-5 p.m. with service to follow immediately after.
